Well Cottage is an ideal accommodation from which to explore the Kent Downs AONB. Ramble along the old Pilgrims' Way enjoying the views or stroll through the mature local woodland. Visit picturesque local villages, with markets, antique shops and fine pubs. Within 30-40 minutes drive you can enjoy the quaint coastal resort of Whistable, (famous for it's oysters), the famous Cinque ports of Rye, Deal and Sandwich and the Kentish Weald with its oast houses, hop fields and vineyards. |

Only 3 miles away and always a favorite with guests of all ages is historic Leeds Castle with its lovely grounds and lakes, its challenging giant's maze and it's many events from major rock and classical concerts to the famous balloon and vintage car festival. Other major attractions include Canterbury Cathedral, Knole, Sissinghurst Castle and gardens, Igtham Mote, Churchill's home Chartwell or Dickens’ Rochester. If you feel more adventurous why not take a day trip to France. |

If you are in the mood to shop, visit the Bluewater shopping shopping centre (330 stores and leisure activities), or the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Centre in Ashford for great bargains.
There is plenty to keep the children happy too, they will love Farming World, Diggerland, Chatham Historic Dockyard, The Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway, Port Lympe and Howletts zoos and childrens activities at Leeds Castle and The Rare Breeds Centre.
